As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity in the learning environment during the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Your responsibilities will include delivering pre-prepared lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and ensuring a positive and productive learning experience for students.
Job Responsibility:
Implement lesson plans provided by the absent teacher, ensuring that the learning objectives are met
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to effective learning
Maintain order and discipline within the classroom, following the school's policies and procedures
Address behavioral issues promptly and effectively, seeking assistance from school administrators when necessary
Interact with students in a positive and supportive manner, encouraging active participation in class activities
Provide additional assistance to students as needed, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the material
Adapt to different grade levels, subjects, and teaching styles based on the specific needs of each assignment
Be prepared to take on short-notice assignments and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling
Arrive on time and adhere to the school's dress code and professional standards
Uphold confidentiality regarding sensitive student and school information
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (preferred)
Teaching certification or substitute teacher certification (as required by state or local regulations)
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment
