Job Description:

You’re ready to make a difference in the classroom, but you aren’t looking to manage a 30-student roster on your own just yet. As a Substitute Paraprofessional, you serve as the essential “second-in-command” to a lead teacher. It’s the perfect way to gain high level education experience, build your resume, and explore a future in teaching while maintaining total control over your schedule.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborating: Partnering with lead full-time teachers to keep daily routines on track and students engaged
  • Instructional Support: Leading “breakout” sessions or providing 1-on-1 guidance to students who need an extra boost
  • Classroom Management: Helping maintain a positive, focused learning environment for diverse learners

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (any major) OR at least 90 college credits
  • Willingness to pass a standard background check and TB test
  • Dependable, empathetic mindset and a genuine desire to support student success
  • For the Undergrad Track: must hold the CA CL-505d Emergency Permit for Prospective Teachers
