Job Description

Within the Subsea Installation Department, you will be responsible for the installation engineering scope of a specific package/equipment on a Project, Study or Tender. You will be directly reporting to the Project/ Tender Installation leaders. Functionally, you will remain under the Subsea Installation Discipline Manager responsibility.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage a team of engineers (multi-disciplines – e.g. Installation analyses, Installation engineering, pre-commissioning, survey) and a package
  • Manage all external interfaces (clients, suppliers) and internal (other disciplines, installation, manufacturing, purchase)
  • Define and be accountable for the installation methodologies defined on the project/tender
  • Ensure adequation of the installation methodologies vs Installation analyses outcomes and inputs from other disciplines
  • Prepare and perform the required deliverables and activities as allocated by the Project Lead
  • Prepare, with the team, offshore campaign by leading HIRAs session and implementing outcomes and ensuring that all materials are ordered and ready on time vs mobilization requirements
  • Ensure the reporting of the Installation Engineering activities to your management
  • Ensure of the quality of the documentations and the respect of the company’s standards in terms of QHSE
  • Interface with the other Subsea Disciplines (Engineering, Operations, QHSE,…)
  • Liaise regularly with Department organization to ensure that adequate staffing is in place to be able to meet the deliverables target
  • Participate in the consolidation & sharing of the engineering team expertise and know-how
  • Propose innovative methodologies to increase the competitivity of our offers
  • As required, support your Project Lead in supervising other installation packages or engineers
  • Participate to vessel mobilization as well as installation phases on vessel in order to accompany the offshore crew and support the offshore operations

Requirements

  • Graduated with a Master of Engineering (ideally with specialization in Offshore Industry, Naval architecture) with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in an installation / operation role
  • Ideally, several years’ experience in a Lead installation engineering role
  • Good knowledge of offshore installation
  • Good experience of the offshore operations
  • Good communication skills, capacity to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to lead a multi-discipline lead
  • Ability to transmit your knowledge
  • Mobility to support the operations during the execution phase according to the project schedule
  • Proficiency in English (spoken, written) is a must
