Job Responsibility:
Design, develop, and implement electrical testing procedures and equipment for wiring harnesses
Understand and interpret customer specifications to develop compliant testing solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new testing machinery and processes, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety
Standardize testing equipment and procedures across multiple factories to ensure consistency and quality
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical test systems, machinery, and wiring harnesses
Utilize knowledge of pneumatics, mechatronics, and basic programming to develop and optimize automated test systems
Work with I/O boards, understanding their functions and integrating them into testing setups
Prepare and maintain documentation, including test plans, reports, and standard operating procedures
Provide technical support and training to factory personnel to ensure proper use and maintenance of new testing equipment
Maintain compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements
Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers in English to ensure clear understanding of project goals and deliverables
Travel up to 60% of the time within the EMEA region to support factory testing, implementation of new equipment, and customer collaboration
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field
Proven experience (3+ years) as an Electrical Test Engineer, preferably in the automotive or wiring harness industry
Strong understanding of mechatronics, including electronics, computers, and mechanical systems
Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, or PLC programming) is a plus
Solid understanding of pneumatics and experience working with I/O boards
Experience in designing, developing, and standardizing testing machinery and processes
Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and customer requirements
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time within the EMEA region
