Job Description

Accountable for the Procurement processes delivery within our digital organisation. Responsible for the management of operations on the SAP ARIBA and VIM technologies to support the SAP systems hosted in a Cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement design, implementation, and support. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the optimal performance, availability, and security of our SAP landscape.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, Design, implement, and support robust/scalable infrastructure solutions for SAP applications, including SAP Ariba, VIM, ECC, SAP S/4HANA
  • Oversee the implementation and deployment of SAP solutions, ensuring adherence to design specifications, project timelines, and quality standards
  • Collaborate with other SAP modules, teams and business stakeholders to define processes and system design as per requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Conduct assessments and performance tuning activities to identify and address bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and improve system reliability
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, system constraints, and areas for improvement through proactive monitoring, analysis, and tuning
  • Develop and implement automation scripts, tools, and workflows to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and maintenance tasks
  • Define and enforce security policies, standards, and controls to safeguard SAP system design
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal security guidelines
  • Develop and maintain documentation, workbooks and runbooks related to SAP Ariba, VIM, MM
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to stakeholders on best practices for configuration and security controls
  • Establish performance monitoring and alerting mechanisms for SAP systems
  • Analyze performance metrics, identify optimization opportunities, and implement tuning measures to improve system efficiency and resource utilization
  • Implement cost allocation tags and resource optimization strategies to minimize cloud spending without sacrificing performance or reliability
  • Promote adherence to cloud architecture principles, security controls, and operational procedures across project teams and stakeholders
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly related to SAP infrastructure, and make recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in SAP P2P applications design, implementation, and optimization, with a focus on SAP environments and cloud technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP infrastructure components, including SAP ARIBA, VIM, ECC, SAP S/4HANA
  • Hands-on experience with P2P processes, configurations, integrations, design, AMS and controls
  • Familiarity with SAP P2P tools and services for monitoring, logging, and automation
  • Proven experience in configuring and managing clients, including designing, development management, and applications upgrades
  • Strong understanding of SAP architecture, landscape design along with all related SAP modules
  • Understanding of cloud security principles, best practices, and compliance requirements
  • Expertise in implementing automations tools and orchestration tools commonly available in market
  • Ability to develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline provisioning, configuration management, and maintenance tasks
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage project scope, and timeline, and drive successful project outcomes
  • Ability to review design documents, critique architecture recommendations from other SMEs
  • Detail oriented and demonstrated ability to achieve goals and objectives with minimal direction
  • Clear, concise business communication and experience conducting business requirements workshops with business users
  • Hands-on experience in configuring SAP VIM configurations, workflows, document types, and post-processing framework (PPF)
  • Have worked in all modules of OpenText: IES/BCC, VIM, Archive server, BC
  • Strong experience in implementing and supporting SAP VIM module, including configuration, testing, documentations and deployment
  • Excellent understanding of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) business processes, invoice management, and accounts payable (AP) operations
  • Solid understanding of SAP VIM integration with other SAP modules such as FI, MM, and SD
  • Experience in SAP VIM and OpenText VIM - end to end configuration worked in following area: Open Text Archive server, VIM SAP AP – end to end process, Experience working with SAP PI/PO resources in integrating SAP with 3rd Party systems
  • Work with SAP Ariba teams and provide guidance and support to ensure the successful implementation and operation of Ariba solutions for the global project
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and business units from various locations to understand their procurement needs and translate them into effective Ariba solutions that align with global standards
  • Manage the configuration and customization of Ariba modules to meet the diverse requirements of multiple locations while ensuring consistency and standardization
  • Oversee the integration of Ariba with other SAP modules and external systems through CPI, CIG, EDI and other integration methods to enable seamless data exchange on a global scale
  • Monitor and report on the performance of Ariba processes and KPIs across locations, identifying areas for improvement and optimization to achieve a successful big bang go-live
  • Support the testing and validation of Ariba functionalities and integrations, working closely with teams to ensure a robust and reliable system for a large user base
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in SAP Ariba and related technologies, recommending upgrades and enhancements suitable for the global project's requirements
  • Resolve complex issues related to Ariba configurations, integrations, and processes in a timely manner, providing global support and ensuring minimal disruption during the go-live
