Supervising Subcontract Administrators that require managing various complex government or commercial contracts such as CPFF, T&M, FFP from cradle to grave. The Subcontracts Manager conducts administration of government and commercial subcontracts.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise Subcontract Administrators
Provide strategic oversight of the subcontract administration process
Lead high-level negotiations for complex subcontracts
Identify and assess risks related to subcontractor performance and compliance
Act as a key liaison between subcontractors, internal departments, and government clients
Develop, update, and implement subcontracting policies and procedures
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level subcontract administrators
Oversee the monitoring of subcontractor performance
Prepare and present detailed reports on subcontract performance
Lead internal and external audits related to subcontract administration
Manage the closeout process for subcontracts
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Supply Chain, or a related field
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in subcontract administration or subcontracts management, with significant experience in government contracting environments
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
Comprehensive understanding of FAR, DFARS, and government procurement regulations
Proven experience leading negotiations for complex and high-value subcontracts
Strong analytical skills
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experienced with contract management software
Nice to have:
Master’s degree
Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), or other relevant certifications
Active security clearance (e.g., Secret, Top Secret) or the ability to obtain a security clearance
Extensive experience in specific sectors such as defense, aerospace, IT, or other regulated government industries
Familiarity with advanced contract management systems and tools
