Job Description

Amentum is currently seeking a Subcontracts Administrator to support our program in Alice Springs, Australia. Responsible for all phases of subcontract administration, cradle to grave, to include acquisition planning, source selection, cost/price analysis, negotiation, post-award administration and closeout. Responsible for ensuring compliance with government policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare, review, and maintain subcontract and procurement documentation

  • evaluate proposals, quotations, and RFPs
  • coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • manage the lifecycle of agreements
  • conduct compliance oversight
  • provide proposal support
  • deliver subcontracts training
  • track and evaluate subcontractor performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and two to eight years of experience in procurement, subcontracts, supply chain or related field
  • excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • working knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and integrated software applications
  • knowledge of various subcontract types (Cost-Plus, Fixed Price, Time & Materials)
  • Australian or US Citizen
  • ability to obtain and retain NV1 and Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) or TS/SCI clearance
  • at least 18 years of age
  • able to fluently read, write and speak English

Experience with Costpoint or similar ERP system, to include use of the purchasing module

  • Manage the subcontract solicitation and small business proposal activities—planning and RFP issuance to negotiation, award, and administration, along with developing the small business plans—ensuring alignment with customer solicitation requirements and Amentum policies
  • Issue RFPs, evaluate supplier proposals for SOW compliance, and conduct price/cost analyses to mitigate risk
  • Act as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal management to resolve issues and ensure execution
  • Administer various subcontract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP) in compliance with FAR/DFARS regulations
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain productivity with competing priorities
  • Maintain audit-ready files using SharePoint, Deltek Costpoint, and AMRO
  • manage subcontractor time collection and invoicing systems
  • Produce key metrics, including cycle time, aging, burn rates, and closeout status
  • Draft and negotiate subcontracts, NDAs, Teaming Agreements, and modifications while applying mandatory FAR/DFARS flowdowns and terms
