Job Description:

Subcontract Administration Engineer for Mechanical Works contributes to the entering, in the specific Data Base, the works performed by Subcontractors and for detecting, both before and after, any deviation from budget values. The scope of the project entails the implementation of three gas boosting stations, including turbo-compressors that will compress about 188 million standard cubic meters per day of natural gas. Additionally, the project entails the upgrading of the existing gas gathering system, which includes more than 300 km of flowlines connecting the wells.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist the Subcontract Administration Manager (SAM), Site Manager, and other project team members in addressing issues with contractual implications towards contractors
  • Ensure the preparation of draft communications concerning contractual topics
  • Keep track of instances where contractors fail to fulfill their contractual obligations and evaluate, with the support of the SAM and the Site Control Manager, the implications in terms of costs and timing. Inform the Site Manager to ensure that appropriate notification is sent to the interested parties
  • Assist the SAM in terms of developing legal, contractual analyses, and language used, in reviewing the scope of work inclusions/exclusions regarding requests from contractors on Site Work Requests and claims
  • Participate in the negotiation of Site Work Requests and claims, ensuring the status is updated
  • Identify, with the support of the project team members, any delays and disruptions attributable to the contractors' responsibility or to force majeure and notify the interested parties promptly
  • Proactively receive issues communicated by the Subcontract Administration Manager to assess their consequences
  • Support the Subcontract Administration Manager in managing bank guarantees issued for the project in coordination with the Subcontract Administration Management department
