As Sub-Agent, you will lead the delivery of a major section of bulk earthworks and formation within the HS2 programme. Managing and developing a high-performing engineering team you will provide leadership and technical guidance to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency at every stage of the project.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and mentor the engineering team, providing clear direction, technical guidance, and support to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery across all activities
Develop and manage detailed mass-haul and seasonal work plans, ensuring accurate forecasting, resource allocation, and alignment with programme milestones
Oversee constructability reviews, sequencing strategies, and temporary works planning, identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation measures to maintain progress and safety
Requirements:
Experience in civil engineering or construction management, ideally on large-scale infrastructure projects involving earthworks
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop engineering teams
Understanding of health, safety, and quality standards, ensuring compliance across all site activities
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, capable of delivering in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams
Relevant qualifications, such as a Civil Engineering degree, and ideally working towards ICE professional accreditation
