Job Responsibility

Manage all subcontractors within area of responsibility to ensure compliance with project requirements
Chair and produce minutes for weekly meetings with each subcontractor
Maintain a detailed knowledge of subcontractors' scopes of work
Maintain a detailed knowledge and records of site progress, including details of any potential variations
In conjunction with commercial team, critically assess subcontractor records, applications for payment and variations
Manage all works, including subcontractors, within area of responsibility to ensure compliance with all legal, company and project health, safety and environmental requirements
Manage all works in area of responsibility to ensure compliance with project specification, programme and commercial requirements
Ensure that appropriate checks of competency are undertaken on all personnel working within area of responsibility prior to their starting works, including subcontractors and Third Parties
Produce and maintain a detailed and resourced 3 month (minimum) look-ahead programme for area of responsibility including detailed interface with other project areas, ensuring compliance with contract programme
Manage works to achieve the agreed programme

Good level of experience in civil engineering and workforce supervision including earthworks
drainage and structures in a highways environment
sound commercial foundation to facilitate cost control

Job Responsibility

Lead associated site team including engineering teams and subcontractors to successful completion of works
produce short term programmes from the Contract Programme and communicate it with the wider team
be responsible for recording the asbuilt information and change items
monitor site activities against target programmes reporting exceptions in outputs, delays etc
ensure change on site is identified and recorded in line with the NEC contract conditions
support the site engineering teams and provide guidance
monitor all works activities to ensure they meet the Works Specification and are being delivered in a safe manner following the principles of our behavioural based safety initiative
complete a site diary, organise and deliver site inductions and daily briefings, keep good site records and ensure all subcontractors and operatives have the relevant documentation to start work safely
