Randstad Student Support is seeking experienced one-on-one Study Skills Support Workers to assist university students in Aberdeen who have specific learning difficulties (SpLDs). This is a chance to make a tangible difference in a student's educational journey. The role is a hybrid model, offering flexibility with both in-person and online sessions, and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
Job Responsibility:
Developing individual learning plans to promote independence
Building on student strengths and effective learning strategies
Enhancing organization and time management skills
Creating structured action plans to help students stay on track
Improving research and comprehension abilities
Managing a caseload of students effectively and professionally
Requirements:
Prior teaching or tutoring experience
In-depth knowledge of specific learning difficulties
Experience working with individuals who have specific learning difficulties
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to identify and build on a student's learning strengths while maintaining a confidential and professional relationship
A high degree of punctuality and reliability
Strong organizational skills
Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., PATOSS, BDA, ADSHE, Dyslexia Guild)
