Job Description:

Randstad Student Support is recruiting Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Workers to assist university students with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) at Edge HIll University. This role begins at the start of the academic year and combines both face-to-face and online sessions, depending on student preferences. The focus is on fostering academic independence, confidence, and skills development.

Job Responsibility:

Develop independent study habits and academic confidence
Build personalised learning strategies
Improve organisation and time management skills
Create and follow structured action plans
Enhance research skills using credible sources
Understand and use referencing methods correctly

Requirements:

Membership with British Dyslexia Association (BDA)
Membership with Association of Dyslexia Specialists in Higher Education (ADSHE)
Membership with Dyslexia Guild
Membership with Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS)

Nice to have:

Experience working with individuals with SpLDs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to create a positive, student-led support environment
Professional conduct, reliability, and punctuality
Good organisational skills and workload management
