Job Responsibility

  • Provide learning support and academic guidance

Requirements

  • Qualified to undergraduate degree level (level 6 as minimum)
  • teaching qualification
  • extensive training in adult autism: 6 National Autistic Society Modules (non medical helper package) OR The Optimum Training Course: Autism and ADHD in Higher Education: Recognising and addressing the barriers through Non-Medical Helper (NMH) Mentoring and Study Skills Strategies OR Autism training provided by the National Association of Disability Practitioners (NADP)

Nice to have

  • Experience of working with autistic clients
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths whilst maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
