Job Description:

Provide one-to-one study skills support for autistic students; create tailored individual learning plans; help students develop independence and manage their studies effectively; ensure professional and confidential conduct while working closely with Randstad.

Job Responsibility:

Develop independence
build on strengths and learning strategies
create strategies around organisation and time management
create action plans to stay on track with studies
build on research skills
distinguish appropriate sources and how to correctly use references
build on comprehension skills within reading and writing
ensure that any concerns are addressed in a timely manner
act professionally and maintain confidentiality
share relevant information with Randstad

Requirements:

Undergraduate degree level (level 6) as a minimum
teaching qualification
extensive training in adult autism
6 National Autistic Society Modules (non-medical helper package) or The Optimum Training Course: Autism and ADHD in Higher Education
experience of working with autistic clients
excellent interpersonal and communication skills
ability to identify ways to help students build on their learning strengths
punctuality and reliability
good organisational skills
ability to manage a caseload of students
