Randstad Student Support is currently seeking dedicated SpLD (Specific Learning Difficulties) Tutors for the upcoming academic year (2026/2027) at the University of worcester. All successful candidates must be able to travel to the university and flexibly offer both in-person and online sessions to meet student preferences. As a Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Worker with Randstad, you will provide learning support and academic guidance. This includes creating an individual learning plan tailored to the student's needs that encourages them to become an independent learner.
Job Responsibility
Provide learning support and academic guidance
Create an individual learning plan tailored to the student's needs that encourages them to become an independent learner
Support students to develop independence
Support students to build on strengths and learning strategies
Support students to create strategies for organisation and time management
Support students to create action plans to stay on track with studies
Support students to build on research skills
Support students to distinguish appropriate sources and how to correctly use references
Support students to build on comprehension skills in reading and writing
Act professionally and maintain confidentiality
Share all relevant information with Randstad
Requirements
Hold membership with one of the below relevant professional bodies (British Dyslexia Association (BDA), Professional Membership The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE), Dyslexia Guild, The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS))
Experience of working with clients with specific learning difficulties
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to identify ways of helping students to build on their learning strengths whilst maintaining a confidential and professional working relationship
Punctuality and reliability
Good organisational skills
Ability to manage a caseload of students
