Job Description

We are recruiting a Childcare Tutor to join our expanding provision at our Walkden centre. This is a rewarding full-time Study Programme Tutor role, delivering high-quality, practical learning to post-16 learners studying Childcare qualifications at Level 1 and 2. You will manage learners' journeys from initial interview and assessment through to successful completion and accreditation, delivering engaging teaching that builds industry knowledge, employability skills, confidence, and progression routes into further education, apprenticeships, or employment. Alongside vocational delivery, you will support learners to achieve English and Maths (Functional Skills or GCSE), working with specialist teams, and uphold the highest standards of teaching in line with the Education Inspection Framework (EIF).

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver Childcare teaching and assessment
  • Teach Level 1 and/or Level 2 qualifications
  • Support learners' employability, social skills, and personal development
  • Support delivery of English and Maths (with specialist support)
  • Track learner progress and maintain accurate records
  • Provide pastoral and tutorial support
  • Embed ICT and digital learning tools
  • Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment

Requirements

  • PGCE, Cert Ed, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare
  • Relevant industry experience working with children and/or adults in care settings
