As the Study Centre Lead you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations and effectiveness of the study centre here at COPC. You will be responsible for ensuring that students have access to a range of resources, including books, computers and study materials. You will also be collaborating with academic staff to develop programs and services that support student learning and success. Additionally, you may also be involved in, organising workshops or events and implementing processes to enhance the overall learning experience within the college.
Job Responsibility
Management of the day-to-day operations of the study centre at your campus
Providing 1:1 study support for Vocational, Technical and GCSE students
Collaborate with academic staff to identify and address student learning needs and support academic programmes
Deliver workshops/small-group session with a particular focus on study skills and techniques
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student success and academic achievement
Requirements
Experience with delivering sessions or presentations to small groups desirable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of student needs and learning styles
Deep understanding of educational resources and technologies
Proactive and innovative approach to enhancing service delivery
Continuous learning and professional development mindset
Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving student needs
