An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Industrial or Mechanical Engineering student to join the Bodyshop team at Plant Rosslyn.In this role, you will support the Bodyshop and Quality teams in conducting a full Process Quality Risk Assessment (Process BI) aimed at preventing defects and enhancing build integrity. This is a highly impactful project that will contribute directly to customer satisfaction and long-term quality improvements in the plant.
Job Responsibility:
Support the Bodyshop Process Risk Assessment (Process BI) by collecting, analysing, and categorizing process risks in line with BI Levels 1–7
Assist in identifying high-risk process steps relating to weld integrity, fitment accuracy, part presence, and general build quality
Provide support in analysing defect data, BI dashboards, and customer feedback sources to determine trends and root causes
Participate in workshops, interviews, and on-site assessments with Bodyshop personnel to understand existing controls and process gaps
Contribute to the creation of mitigation strategies including Poke-Yoke solutions, inspection stations, and revised process controls
Assist in constructing Excel-based risk matrices, Pareto charts, and analysis reports for management and shop-floor communication
Support in developing a monitoring and control plan for defect reduction and continuous improvement
Prepare and update communication material including progress dashboards, intranet updates, KPI boards, and project documentation
Support training material development for Bodyshop teams focusing on process risk awareness and defect prevention
Perform other duties as required by management in support of the overall quality improvement project
Requirements:
Completed or Final year Mechatronics Engineering
Knowledge and practical application of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, including the ability to present data clearly to both management and shop-floor teams
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with employees and technical specialists
