The Student Assistant will support the Chick-Fil-A as a Student Team Member on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026. The Chick-fil-A Student Team Member is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting with food preparation, order fulfillment, and maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented food service environment while upholding the high standards of Chick-fil-A and Georgia Southern University Dining Services. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Job Responsibility:
Greets customers warmly and provide excellent customer service, adhering to Chick-fil-A's customer service and quality standards
Takes customer orders accurately and efficiently at the register or through mobile ordering systems
Prepares and packages food orders according to Chick-fil-A standards
Maintains cleanliness and organization of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment
Restocks inventory and supplies as needed
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Works collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations
Assists with opening and closing duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University
Consistently exhibit engaging customer service
Ability to support various constituencies served by the University
Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position
Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success
Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills
