Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a school-based psychotherapy service providing support to pupils aged 6-13 in the prep school, and students aged 13-18 in the college. You will work with an ACP colleague to offer timely and responsive therapeutic support to children and parents in collaboration with teaching, boarding and medical staff. The service also provides consultation to parents and staff, training and weekly input to pastoral team meetings focused on the needs of individuals seen in therapy and those with pastoral needs. The school is international and we work with students from all over the world which brings opportunity and challenge in equal measure. The team works closely with the medical team comprising two GP’s and a nursing team of eight and is based in the school health centre.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide creative, responsive short and longer-term therapeutic support to prep pupils aged 6-13 years and college students aged 13-18 years
  • Provide consultation to teaching staff, nurse colleagues and boarding staff as required
  • Attend a weekly pastoral team meeting focused on the needs of individual students
  • Contribute to pastoral strategic development meetings on a quarterly basis

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working in schools or other complex organisations
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary colleagues
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and hard working
