We are looking for a Student Support Representative to guide prospective students through the admissions journey and help them make informed decisions about their education. This contract opportunity has the potential to become permanent and is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, managing a high volume of applicant interactions, and delivering a supportive experience from initial inquiry through program start. The person in this role will connect with candidates, explain program options clearly, and coordinate with internal teams to keep the enrollment process moving smoothly.
Job Responsibility
Engage with prospective students by phone and other outreach methods to answer questions, explain program offerings, and support informed enrollment decisions
Coordinate and lead applicant interviews, assess alignment between career goals and available programs, and advance candidates with relevant experience through the admissions process
Manage inbound inquiries and proactive follow-up activities to move students from initial interest through application submission, orientation readiness, and scheduled program start
Maintain accurate and timely records of conversations, application progress, and related admissions activity within the database
Build and sustain a healthy pipeline through lead generation efforts, community outreach, referrals, and consistent follow-up with prospective applicants
Partner with admissions, financial aid, and campus teams to create a smooth and student-focused enrollment experience
Track daily recruiting and enrollment activity, share updates with leadership, and contribute to discussions on performance and strategy
Carry out responsibilities in accordance with admissions policies, regulatory expectations, and workplace standards while supporting a collaborative team environment
Assist with additional assignments as directed by leadership to support departmental goals
Requirements
3+ years of experience in admissions, enrollment support, student services, or a related customer-facing role
Proven ability to conduct and schedule interviews while managing candidates through an application or enrollment process
Experience handling both inbound and outbound calls in a high-volume environment
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and communicate clearly
High level of accuracy with data entry, application administration, and database updates
Demonstrated ability to generate leads through outreach, referrals, or community engagement efforts
Self-directed work style with strong organization, follow-up habits, and a results-oriented mindset
