Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Student Support Assistant to join our specialist 2-19 academy in Littleport. This is more than just a support role; it is an opportunity to provide a lifeline of safety and confidence to pupils with complex needs, ensuring they are empowered to engage fully in school life. Working within a collaborative and inclusive community, you will provide the essential wrap-around support that allows our students to thrive. You will work closely with teachers and healthcare specialists to deliver tailored care that respects the individuality of every child.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide thoughtful assistance with personal care, including hygiene, feeding, and mobility, following specific EHCPs and Care Plans
  • Help implement specialist programmes such as physiotherapy or hydrotherapy under professional guidance
  • Supervise and support pupils during lunchtimes and outdoor activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
  • Maintain accurate records and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure consistent, high-quality support
