As the Student Support Officer, you will be providing care, guidance, and support for our current students, and also help us attract new students to our Vancouver campus. Your success will be achieved by building positive relationships in the local and international community to help build enrollment and provide student services.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor accommodation bookings and allocate appropriate accommodation as requested
Work with homestay / Residence vendors to ensure homestay accommodation for students
Book airport pick-up/drop-off and meet & greet services as requested
Monitor airport arrivals and departures, ensuring that students are met by a representative and that transportation to their accommodations is arranged
Assist with homestay payroll and financial services reporting
Ensure student satisfaction with offered accommodations
Submit weekly reports to the Campus Director
Support the remote sales team with inquiries
Student counselling & support for non-academic issues
Monitor students who have issues and report to the Student Services Manager
Proactively engage and connect with students, and reach out to them
Provide close monitoring of underage students and immediately report any issues to the Student Services Manager
Support with first day arrivals, graduation ceremony, and other school events
Assist other members of the Student Services team
Monitor the emergency phone up to 2 weekends per month
Provide support for local agents (passing inquiries, passing correspondence, entering new applications, generating/sending initial documents)
Process and assist with amendments to post-arrival bookings (vacation requests, upgrades, downgrades)
Provide and assist with requests for documents from post-graduation students after departure
Complete special tasks and assignments as assigned and related to the general Student
Maintain a high level of organization with strong, professional communication and image
Welcome and provide information for school guests, partner agents, walk-ins, and trial students
Process new local bookings following Bayswater`s admissions procedure
Handle direct and local inquiries as requested
Requirements:
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Post-secondary diploma or degree preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience in student services, hospitality, customer service, or a related field
experience in international education is an asset
Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Comfortable wearing multiple hats across support services, coordination, and front-facing duties
Demonstrated ability to support and engage a diverse student population with empathy, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills with attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Flexibility to support occasional evening or weekend activities and events
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is an asset
Nice to have:
Experience in international education is an asset
