We're seeking for an energetic and self-driven Student Services Executive to join our team based in Brighton. This role is initially offered at 20 hours per week, with the potential to increase to full-time hours as the business develops and operational needs evolve.
Job Responsibility:
Based at reception, greet all people entering the building in a friendly way and answer all e-mails and telephone calls in a timely and professional manner
Deal with walk-in enquiries, selling our courses and processing bookings
Get to know students so that they feel like the centre is a home away from home
Make yourself available throughout the day for questions and to deal with issues
Meet with new students on their first day as part of their induction and conduct satisfaction surveys
Keep the college database maintained and up to date with correct student details
Process bookings to enrol students, take payments and send relevant documents to students
Follow the operational systems, procedures, and processes to ensure that all governance, compliance, and Health & Safety standards are maintained
Escalate any student complaints where appropriate
Support creating and running activities for a diverse and fun social programme
Support in creating materials to advertise the social programme
Attend social events and collect photos and testimonials for our social media posts
Develop fundraising and volunteering events
Support in creating social media content
Support on the organisation of the activity programmes for junior and adult groups
Take responsibility for the welfare, safety and care of students at all times
Ensure the students adhere to the college rules
Keep the reception area and college tidy
Inform the Centre Director of any welfare issues
Participate in the rota with the college team to provide emergency telephone support out of office hours
Keeping accurate, up–to-date records of all student accommodation booking
Place students in host families, house shares, hotels, hostels and student residence
Help students with any issues that arise in any of the student accommodation
Make sure that our accommodation follows our accreditation standards
Requirements:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Strong organisational and administrative capabilities
Highly collaborative, with the ability to work effectively across teams to deliver results
Numerate and IT literate, with strong competence in Excel and database systems
Excellent attention to detail, with a methodical and diligent approach to ensuring quality and accuracy
Approachable, friendly and caring, with strong problem-solving skills
Resilient, flexible and proactive, with a positive ‘can-do’ approach to work
A team player who can build rapport and engage confidently with a diverse range of people
