The Research & Innovation Team at Keyano College is seeking a Student Research Assistant to support the research project “Ground Zero RMWB” with research-related and administrative tasks. The Student Research Assistant(s) will report to the Research Chair for Northern Community Sustainability. The “Ground Zero RMWB” research project is a Government of Alberta funded research project that seeks to better understand the impacts of responding in one’s own community on first responders during natural disasters on Post-Traumatic Stress Injuries (PTSI).

Must be a current Keyano College student
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to collaborate with others
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
High level of professionalism
Strong problem-solving skills
A drive to learn and engage in broad research-related tasks
Nice to have:
Previous work experience in research-related fields is an asset
Previous experience with and knowledge of the first responder field is an asset
Familiarity with statistical software such as SSPS is an asset
TCPS2: CORE certification is an asset
Familiarity with methods for research design, implementation and analysis is an asset
