Job Description:

The Research & Innovation Team at Keyano College is seeking a Student Research Assistant to support the research project “Ground Zero RMWB” with research-related and administrative tasks. The Student Research Assistant(s) will report to the Research Chair for Northern Community Sustainability. The “Ground Zero RMWB” research project is a Government of Alberta funded research project that seeks to better understand the impacts of responding in one’s own community on first responders during natural disasters on Post-Traumatic Stress Injuries (PTSI).

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • A drive to learn and engage in broad research-related tasks

Nice to have:

  • Previous work experience in research-related fields is an asset
  • Previous experience with and knowledge of the first responder field is an asset
  • Familiarity with statistical software such as SSPS is an asset
  • TCPS2: CORE certification is an asset
  • Familiarity with methods for research design, implementation and analysis is an asset
