Job Description:

At Franciscan, our Imaging Students assists the Imaging Technologist by performing non-licensure tasks such as clerical and patient care duties.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist Radiologic Technologists, as requested, throughout the procedure
  • Clean and maintain examination table, equipment and work area
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety, ensure safety, and comfort
  • Obtain and record patient information
  • Position patient on examining table, set up and adjust equipment to obtain an optimum view of specific body area as requested by the physician
  • Position x-ray equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in Radiologic Technologist program
  • Active Indiana Radiology Student Permit
  • 1 year of Emergency Services or Patient Care experience preferred

Nice to have:

1 year of Emergency Services or Patient Care experience
