Requirements

1 year experience as a technologist in a full service Radiology/CT Department
Certification in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology issued by State of California (CRT)
California Fluoroscopy permit
Certification in Radiological Technology issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
Current BLS certification
Venipuncture/IV contrast Administration Certificate required

Job Responsibility

Provides high quality Computerized Tomography and Radiographic studies
Ensures safe operation and care of equipment
Ensures safety of patients by following established guidelines for IV oral and rectal contrast administration
Communicates effectively with ancillary areas and internal staff
Provides professional and quality care to patients from neonates to geriatrics
Assists in mentoring and training students involved in associated teaching programs

Must be competent in the use of all x-ray equipment, both fixed and mobile
Demonstrates flexibility in reviewing new approaches in response to changing organizational and healthcare needs
Seeks out assistance appropriately in regard to policies and procedures, patient safety, infection control and other departmental and organizational requirements
Ensures communication is consistent, provided in multiple forms and is effective
Ensures that a high priority is recognized and observed by all staff relating to safety
