Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required
Minimum of 3 years of recent pharmacy (or similar) work experience
Active State Pharmacist License in good standing in the state in which the employee works: PHARM:CA
Demonstrated change management, standardization and leadership development skills required
Demonstrated ability to create enthusiasm for new programs and different approaches to existing programs required
Demonstrated quality improvement competencies required
Demonstrated understanding of utilization and productivity in a variety of clinical settings required
Maintains a positive leadership role within the department
Coordinates and manages clinical functions of all pharmacy personnel
Assists in performance evaluation and competency assessment of pharmacists, residents, and students

Job Responsibility

Facilitates the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies
Serves as a professional practice leader, educator, and mentor and has an advanced practice role functioning as a clinical specialist both within the pharmacy and within interdisciplinary teams
Plays a key role in managing operations, logistics, finance, safety, and risk management for the pharmacy department
