Parking Enforcement Officers' primary responsibility is to ensure that drivers comply with EKU parking laws and ordinances and issue citations for violations. In some municipalities, Parking Enforcement Officers may be assigned to work at special events, such as sporting events, festivals, directing traffic and ensuring parking is efficient and safe. Parking Enforcement Officers will also be interacting with the public (faculty/staff/students/visitors), providing answers to questions about parking, directions or other information about the area.
Job Responsibility:
Parking Enforcement - To include but not limited to: patrolling lots and streets, writing citations and booting/towing cars that meet criteria per policy
Special Events - To include but not limited to: barricade/cone details, directing traffic and assisting where needed
Customer Service - To include but not limited to: helping visitors/faculty/staff/students register their vehicles and obtain permits, assisting guests with directions and assisting with any parking related questions
