WSSU Dining is seeking an energetic, creative, and student-focused Marketing Manager to lead all campus marketing, engagement, and promotional initiatives. This role connects the dining program to the vibrant WSSU community through authentic storytelling, impactful events, and dynamic digital marketing.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and engagement plans that drive participation in campus dining programs
Manage WSSU Dining’s social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.) with relevant, high-quality content that reflects student culture
Design print and digital materials (flyers, menus, banners, signage, and digital screens) using Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
Coordinate on-campus events, tabling, promotions, and partnerships with student organizations, athletics, and residence life
Capture and edit photography/video content for use in campaigns, newsletters, and social media
Track analytics to assess engagement and refine marketing strategy
Serve as the liaison between Aramark Marketing and campus partners, ensuring alignment with WSSU and corporate brand standards
Recruit, train, and manage a team of student marketing interns to support campus engagement, event coverage, and content creation
Oversee marketing budget and maintain inventory of promotional materials
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
1–3 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or social media management
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva
Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to engage and relate to a diverse student population, particularly within the HBCU community
Self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple priorities independently
Nice to have:
Prior experience in higher education marketing or campus dining
Photography, videography, and content-creation experience
