Job Responsibility:
Provide leadership for and ensure the quality of activities and events including new student orientation, first year experience, QEP initiatives, and other campuswide collaboration efforts
Ensure adherence to COM Policies related to student activities, events, and travel
Provide leadership and supervision for student life events and activities including encouraging student participation
Provide budget oversight for student life activities and events
Serve as campus resource for student life clubs and organizations
Create social media presence and communicate events through weekly announcements and e-newsletters
Assist with recruitment and community events with Institutional Advancement and College Connections Advisors
Expand Student Wellness and Intramural sports programs
Support gym facility needs as backup to the Director
Support Leadership Rotaract and President Ambassador Program
Requirements:
BA or BS in education, kinesiology, student affairs, or related field
Experience in leadership role with student groups, particularly intramural or club sports
Proficiency with social media
One year experience in event planning or student life engagement
Demonstrated leadership in student educational programming
Ability to collect and validate data, prepare reports
Ability to provide office support and manage files
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook
Exemplary people and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and time management
Ability to maintain confidential information
CPR/AED - willing to complete within first 30 days of hire
