Deliver effective recruitment for student job roles across the University. Coordinate the day-to-day administration of the University’s student jobs portal. Fixed Term (until November 2026), Part Time (0.8FTE) based in Hobart.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver best practice recruitment for paid and unpaid opportunities for current students, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet their recruitment requirements
Provide advice and support to internal stakeholders on developing and reviewing student roles to ensure they meet employability objectives
Prepare and present professional paper and digital materials for recruitment, marketing, workshops, onboarding, evaluation, and reporting
Support the planning and delivery of a range of employability initiatives, activities and events
Complete daily administrative tasks that support the team’s employment services
Maintain accurate records and reporting on recruitment activities, portal usage, and student engagement metrics
Requirements:
Experience in supporting or managing best practice recruitment and selection processes or completion of relevant qualifications with a demonstrated willingness to learn on the job
Excellent IT skills with experience using a range of software tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Teams), job portals (such as Career Connect), event management systems, and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to deliver and present workshops, information and onboarding sessions
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build effective relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
Excellent organisational skills including the ability to use initiative, prioritise and solve problems, and meet strict deadlines whilst working independently with minimal supervision
Experience in the preparation and dissemination of materials including reports and promotional material, and the ability to assist with research tasks and projects with thoroughness and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a continuously changing and highly collaborative environment
