The Student Assistant will support the Henderson Library as a Student IT Technician on the Statesboro Campus beginning Spring 2026. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Job Responsibility:
Supports and troubleshoots in-building technologies such as computers, printers, 3D printers, audio/visual technology, and software
Assists walk-up, library chat, and phone patrons with basic technical support of in-building technology
Drafts and revises online training and instructional materials about Libraries technology
Monitors and reports facility issues to the supervisor
Works to maintain the appearance of computer labs by pushing in chairs and picking up trash
Requirements:
Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.
Experience in troubleshooting Windows/MacOS Computers, printers, 3D printers
Experience in creating clear and detailed documentation
Consistently exhibit engaging customer service
Ability to support various constituencies served by the University
Proven proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office, Google, and/or applications as required for specific position
Adhere to University policies and procedures to meet Institutional goals and support University's mission for student success
Effective communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills
