Job Description:

A meaningful educational experience for a college student to gain valuable experience in their field of study, while accomplishing tasks and completing projects in an enriching environment. The Intern will gain networking opportunities that include interactions with CHRISTUS leaders and Associates. The Intern will be provided with a variety of projects to support learning objectives in the CHRISTUS Health Plan Network Documentation Integrity team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in various projects within the NDI department
  • Identify gaps in Risk Adjustment data analytics and reporting
  • Support reporting pertaining to performance metrics
  • Collaborate with other departments to address global issues and resolve in a prompt manner
  • Process Improvement: Assisting in the identification of areas where operations could be streamlined or automated, potentially helping the team become more efficient
  • Provide regular progress updates, flagging potential concerns or roadblocks to senior team members
  • Coordinate travel or calendars as needed
  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of college preparation towards major
  • Currently enrolled in a College degree program in one of the following degree program: [Data Analysis, Business Administration, Health Administration, Information Systems, Public Health, Finance, Communications, Management, or something similar]
  • PC and Microsoft Office Skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with others
  • Quick learner with attention to detail, high degree of confidentiality, and solid organizational skills
  • Needs to be resourceful, innovative, and persuasive with the ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot
