Job Description:

A meaningful educational experience for a college student to gain valuable experience in their field of study; while accomplishing tasks and completing projects in an enriching environment. The Intern will gain networking opportunities that include interactions with CHRISTUS leaders and Associates. The Intern will be provided with a variety of projects to support learning objectives in areas [Value based care, population health, project coordination/event planning and development of data performance monitoring tools from development to go live & optimization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
  • Community Health Fair event planning which includes planning, coordination and facilitation with leaders across services lines from conception to launch
  • Maintain and update the project plan to ensure timelines and tasks are current
  • Assist in preparing the event schedule (run-of-show) for smooth execution
  • Communicate with vendors and sponsors to confirm participation and requirements
  • Provide on-site support during the event to help operations run efficiently
  • Compile a short post-event summary highlighting key outcomes and recommendations
  • Development of standard operating procedures for successful initiatives and processes to ensure program sustainability
  • Review current workflows to identify gaps and areas for improvement
  • Help draft clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for optimized workflows
  • Engage with interdisciplinary teams and effectively communicate across multiple stakeholders by influencing
  • Review and analyze data while synthesizing trends and key findings
  • Execute test cases to confirm system functionality and accuracy
  • Document and track issues in a defect log, including steps taken to resolve them
  • Validate rosters to ensure provider and patient details are accurate
  • Assist with documentation to meet CEHRT/eCQM compliance requirements

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of college preparation towards major
  • Currently enrolled in a College degree program in one of the following degree program
  • [Science- i.e. Biology, Chemistry, etc, Healthcare administration, health informatics, community/public health, nursing, hospitality, Health and Exercise Science]
  • PC and Microsoft Office Skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with others
  • Quick learner with attention to detail, high degree of confidentiality and solid organizational skills
  • Needs to be resourceful, innovative and persuasive with ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
