A meaningful educational experience for a college student to gain valuable experience in their field of study; while accomplishing tasks and completing projects in an enriching environment. The Intern will gain networking opportunities that include interactions with CHRISTUS leaders and Associates. The Intern will be provided with a variety of projects to support learning objectives in areas [Value based care, population health, project coordination/event planning and development of data performance monitoring tools from development to go live & optimization.
Job Responsibility:

Community Health Fair event planning which includes planning, coordination and facilitation with leaders across services lines from conception to launch
Maintain and update the project plan to ensure timelines and tasks are current
Assist in preparing the event schedule (run-of-show) for smooth execution
Communicate with vendors and sponsors to confirm participation and requirements
Provide on-site support during the event to help operations run efficiently
Compile a short post-event summary highlighting key outcomes and recommendations
Development of standard operating procedures for successful initiatives and processes to ensure program sustainability
Review current workflows to identify gaps and areas for improvement
Help draft clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for optimized workflows
Engage with interdisciplinary teams and effectively communicate across multiple stakeholders by influencing
Review and analyze data while synthesizing trends and key findings
Execute test cases to confirm system functionality and accuracy
Document and track issues in a defect log, including steps taken to resolve them
Validate rosters to ensure provider and patient details are accurate
Assist with documentation to meet CEHRT/eCQM compliance requirements
Requirements:
At least 2 years of college preparation towards major
Currently enrolled in a College degree program in one of the following degree program
[Science- i.e. Biology, Chemistry, etc, Healthcare administration, health informatics, community/public health, nursing, hospitality, Health and Exercise Science]
PC and Microsoft Office Skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with others
Quick learner with attention to detail, high degree of confidentiality and solid organizational skills
Needs to be resourceful, innovative and persuasive with ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
