Job Description:

The student intern will mainly conduct high quality research in the area of battery control system including design, analysis, and testing; contribute to research projects; generate innovative ideas; communicate with managers and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. (preferred) or Master degree students in related disciplines such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and automotive engineering
  • Good research experience in automotive electric drive systems and understanding of research and innovation process
  • Familiar with power electronics
  • Demonstrated knowledge in automotive electric drive systems
  • Battery Management Systems (BMS)
  • Fundamental understanding of lithium-ion battery behavior and modeling
  • Knowledge of BMS architecture (SOC/SOH estimation, protection logic, balancing, fault diagnosis)
  • Familiarity with control-oriented modeling is a plus
  • dSPACE-Based Development & Testing
  • Experience with dSPACE platforms (e.g., MicroAutoBox, SCALEXIO, or equivalent)
  • Ability to build an online (HIL) test environment for BMS algorithms
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for model-based design and real-time implementation
  • Understanding of real-time control and signal I/O configuration
  • General Engineering Skills
  • Background in electrical engineering, control engineering, or electrochemistry
  • Good documentation and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently and integrate software with hardware test setups

Nice to have:

Familiarity with control-oriented modeling is a plus
