Job Description

At Franciscan, our Imaging Students assists the Imaging Technologist by performing non-licensure tasks such as clerical and patient care duties.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist Imaging Technologists, as requested, throughout the procedure
  • Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety, ensure safety and comfort, and obtain cooperation
  • Obtain and record patient information
  • Restock work area with appropriate supplies
  • Answer phone calls, and provide appropriate information or transfers to appropriate team member
  • Perform cleaning duties using proper infection prevention techniques
  • Perform venipuncture using universal precautions

Requirements

  • Enrolled in radiologic technologist training
  • 1 year Patient Care Preferred

  • Reports results of training program metrics and employee progress
  • Maintains training records
  • Is a member of college Advisory Committees and attends meetings as expected
