Are you currently pursuing an MSc in Food Science and Technology with a passion for bioprocessing and plant-forward food? Do you thrive in joggling multiple tasks within everything from assisting in the lab, looking into EU regulations, documenting food safety, to hands on food application testing and sample preparation? Then you might be our new student assistant! We are seeking a highly motivated Master's student to join our team as a Student Assistant to support our R&D and Regulatory efforts in FEAST Ingredient, a food-driven biotech startup company based in Copenhagen. We are looking for someone that can start soonest possible, preferably June 1st.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in monitoring and interpreting EU food law and EFSA updates, specifically regarding fermented products and enzyme-based ingredients
Conduct advanced scientific reviews on fermentation kinetics and enzyme stability
Support the execution of application tests, evaluating the performance and sensory impact of savory ingredients in various food matrices
Assist with light R&D lab activities, including monitoring fermentation batches, media preparation, CFU counting, and enzyme assays
Provide practical support for industry summits, helping prepare samples and demonstrations for our savory application portfolio
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in an MSc in Food Science and Technology
Strong understanding of fermentation (bacterial/enzymology) and Quality Assurance (HACCP) and EU Food regulations
Experience or interest in savory flavor chemistry is a major plus
Hands on 'can-do' attitude with a love for cooking and application testing
Independent agile Worker: Capable of managing tasks efficiently within a focused weekly schedule, flexible working multiple tasks
Fluent in English
