Job Description:

The Student Admissions Advisor will provide support to maximize the efficacy and service of the Student Recruitment and Engagement Office. The Student Admissions Advisor works directly with prospective and incoming students to provide academic advisement, information regarding the application process, and an overview of the different Colleges and programs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide outstanding customer service to prospective and current students via email, telephone and in person.
  • Acknowledge and respond to all prospective students and visitors in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Schedule and conduct campus tours
  • Schedule advising sessions for prospective and incoming students.
  • Review transcripts and advise students on meeting program prerequisites.
  • Document all inquiries and student interactions in the CRM system.
  • Perform follow up on all inquiries who have not yet converted to admissions.
  • Assist with processions applications and other enrollment forms (fees, transcripts, copies, etc.)
  • Generate status update emails and communication as directed.
  • Distribute list of admission candidates to Roseman units on an established basis
  • Inform appropriate personnel of any changes in the admission status.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of special events, projects, and activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Previous admission, student services related or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability and experience to maintain strict confidentiality both in verbal and written communications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Intermediate Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Pleasant and professional customer service skills and demeanor
  • Ability to work with students, faculty, staff, and administration.
  • Ability to operate effectively within the organizational structure.
  • Able to demonstrate trustworthiness and responsible behavior.
  • Utilize sound judgement and knowledge of college policies, procedures, and operations to respond to routine questions.
