Student Account Specialist

• Maintain and update student account records to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Process payments, including automated clearing house (ACH) transactions, efficiently and securely
• Reconcile accounts receivable and handle cash activity to ensure proper financial tracking
• Collaborate with billing departments to address discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Utilize accounting software systems to manage financial data and generate necessary reports
• Perform daily reviews of account activity to identify and address any irregularities
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports as needed for internal and external use
• Provide exceptional customer service to address student and parent inquiries regarding account details
• Monitor account balances and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments
• Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and information

• Proficiency in using accounting software systems for financial management
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and functions, including accounts receivable and billing
• Experience handling cash activity and processing ACH transactions
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to address inquiries professionally
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational or financial setting
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on resolving discrepancies
