Job Responsibility:
Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop, and/or Hangar positions)
Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures
Participate in 5-S activities and perform work in a safe and timely manner
Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft
Fabricate and modify structural components and modifications on aircraft
Perform structural repairs on composite components (attached or detached)
Remove and install aircraft components as required
Conduct or assist with inspections for hidden damage on aircraft structures
Support and/or perform complex structural repairs on or off the aircraft
Perform and document work in compliance with manuals and regulatory requirements
Operate ground support equipment as required
Repair or assist in the repair of aircraft components
Perform mechanical and electrical component removals and installations
Inspect confined areas of the airframe
Assist with wing removal and reinstallation as needed
Support maintenance activities at off-site locations, when required
Design, modify, and weld metal fixtures, as needed
Fabricate parts for ground support equipment
Assist with aircraft towing
Collaborate with other maintenance disciplines
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of structural fabrication experience, or substantiated equivalent experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience on corporate aircraft
Completion of Sheet Metal Aircraft Technician School or equivalent training
Ability to interpret and work from mechanical engineering drawings
Effective written and verbal communication skills regarding individual and aircraft status
Ownership of a basic set of hand tools, with the ability to demonstrate proper inventory and control
Must obtain Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required
Willingness and availability to work unscheduled overtime, including weekends and holidays
Ability to work outdoors in seasonal and inclement weather conditions
Ability to obtain a SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) badge, if applicable
Basic proficiency in PC and computer skills
