Ringway Milton Keynes is currently recruiting a Structures Site Agent to support the delivery of capital and revenue structures works across a local authority highway network. This is a key site-based leadership role, responsible for the safe, efficient and commercially controlled delivery of bridge and highway structures projects. You will play a central part in ensuring works are delivered in line with contract requirements, Ringway management systems, NEC contracts and statutory obligations, while acting as the principal on-site interface with the Client and supply chain. As Structures Site Agent, you will have full responsibility for on-site delivery of structures schemes including bridge maintenance, strengthening, refurbishment, parapet upgrades and minor structures works. You will lead site teams and subcontractors, coordinate daily activities, and ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards. Working closely with the Structures Manager and wider project team, you will also support inspection, maintenance and renewal programmes and contribute to the successful delivery of challenging capital and revenue projects across the network.
Job Responsibility:
Take full responsibility for the on-site delivery of structures capital and revenue schemes
Lead and coordinate daily site activities, managing labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
Ensure works are constructed in accordance with approved designs, specifications and standards
Fulfil Temporary Works Supervisor and/or Coordinator duties as required
Act as the senior site representative when liaising with the Client, designers, statutory undertakers and stakeholders
Operate under NEC (ECC) contracts, supporting the commercial team through Early Warning Notices and Compensation Events
Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries, and cost control mechanisms
Support asset management and programme delivery, ensuring as-built records and handover documentation are completed on time
Lead, motivate and mentor site teams, promoting Ringway values, professionalism and accountability
Requirements:
HNC / HND / BEng / BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent experience)
IEng or working towards professional qualification
Proven experience delivering structures construction, maintenance or refurbishment schemes
Experience on local authority highway contracts
SMSTS or SSSTS
Temporary Works Supervisor / Coordinator training
Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations and highways H&S legislation
