Job Description:

We are looking for a Structural Supervision Engineer – Concrete for one of our clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervise site activities related to reinforced concrete works, including foundations, slabs, columns, walls, beams, and special elements (transfer structures, heavy-duty aprons, etc.)
  • Direct, guide, and supervise Concrete/Structural Inspectors, ensuring proper inspection coverage and adherence to QA/QC procedures
  • Review and approve contractor concrete design, shop drawings, bar bending schedules, material submittals, method statements, and mix designs
  • Oversee formwork, reinforcement placement, concrete pouring, curing, and testing activities
  • Monitor quality of materials (cement, aggregates, admixtures) and ensure compliance with approved designs and standards
  • Verify concrete durability provisions (cover, waterproofing, admixtures) and compliance with project requirements for exposure and long service life
  • Inspect post-tensioned or precast concrete works where applicable
  • Ensure compliance with ACI, ASTM, BS/EN standards, and Dubai Building Code
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to resolve technical queries and construction issues
  • Monitor progress, prepare site inspection reports, NCRs, and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Enforce safety regulations and quality management on all concrete works
  • Contribute to weekly/monthly project progress reports

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering
  • 8–12 years’ experience in supervision of concrete structures for large-scale projects (aviation, industrial, commercial)
  • Airport project experience is mandatory
  • UAE Society of Engineers (mandatory)
  • Abu Dhabi Engineering License valued
  • Dubai Municipality certificate (Unlimited) valued
  • Knowledge of International codes (ASCE-7, ASTM, ACI 318, EN-BS, IBC)
  • Knowledge of UAE codes and authority requirements
  • Strong knowledge of reinforced, prestressed & posttensioned concrete design and construction
  • Familiarity with concrete durability design (waterproofing, admixtures, crack control)
  • Knowledge of Geotechnical principles
  • Proven experience in leading and managing site inspectors for concrete works
  • Ability to review and approve shop drawings, bar bending schedules, and mix designs
  • Practical knowledge of formwork systems, reinforcement detailing, and concrete pouring procedures
  • Safety and quality compliance
  • Hands on structural analysis and design software ( CSI )
  • AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), Navisworks
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio)
  • Strong analytical mindset, client management, communication, leadership skills and teamwork
  • Mobility across GCC/international projects
  • Ability to work effectively with contractors and multidisciplinary teams
