Job Responsibility

  • Execution of modular (offshore-type) structural calculations for Oil & Gas facilities
  • Preparation of related calculation notes
  • Performance of analyses using ABAQUS and verification of highly specific connections, including thermal and thermo-mechanical analyses, nonlinear analyses
  • Conduct fatigue analysis and verification of welded connections subject to high thermal expansion cycles
  • Participate in the validation of execution drawings produced by the fabricator
  • Design and verify specific cases such as bolted and/or welded connections and fatigue calculations
  • Coordinate with the overall project team and other disciplines
  • Participate in validation of drawings produced by drafting teams and/or execution drawings

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Structural Steel Calculation Engineer
  • Expert-level proficiency in ABAQUS software
  • Strong knowledge of industrial installations and task sequencing
  • Mastery of upstream and downstream interface management
  • Ability to strictly apply project procedures
  • Capability to work with project standards, rules, and engineering instructions
  • Coordination with designers working on adjacent areas to manage interfaces
  • Continuous monitoring of project developments
  • Very high autonomy, strong organizational skills, rigor, and active communication
  • Perfect knowledge of Eurocodes and American codes
  • Understanding of technical English (reading and comprehension of technical documents)
