As a Structural Engineering Intern on the Rail Bridge team, you will perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work that will transform your classroom experience and help you envision your future career. You’ll be part of a team, working for our clients on projects involving railroad bridges and supporting structures, with our most experienced engineers.
Job Responsibility:
Perform meaningful, hands-on, real-world work
Be part of a team working on projects involving railroad bridges and supporting structures
Perform basic project design through CAD drafting
Perform research
Travel to job sites for observation as needed
Requirements:
Strong communication skills
Ability to contribute and work well on a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Pursuing a degree in structural engineering or civil engineering
Ability to work 10 to 20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer
