Structural Engineer

• Prepare reports with design and verification calculations for all structural works within the Scope, Budget, and Schedule
• Develop various concepts for design and advise on the most suitable solution for the problem
• Verification of drawings to ensure that these match with engineering performed
• Initiate and document good engineering practices, tools, and departmental standards
• First point of contact during the construction and fabrication of the designed items
• Managing design and verification works at subcontractor engineering firms
• Typical Deliverables: Sea fastening analyses, Global Hull Analyses, Lifting point verification, Global strength verifications of vessels, Jackets and Topsides, On Bottom Stability analyses, Strongpoint verifications, Deck load diagrams, etc.

• Recognized MSc or BSc Degree in Marine and Mechanical
• 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering in the Offshore field, Practical Offshore experience
• Proven expertise in FEA tools, with advanced skills in Ansys and scripting/automation via Python (PyAnsys)
• Strong insight into constructability with practical shipyard and offshore considerations
• Extensive knowledge of Class rules for vessels (LR, BV, ABS), offshore structures (DNV, API), and Operational guidelines (DNVGL) used by MWS
• Able to write Basis of Design, Design Briefs, and specifications
• A good command of spoken English and academic reporting skills

Skills in FEMAP, RFEM and Mathcad are also appreciated
