Job Description

This position will perform structural design, analysis and detailing for various industrial, institutional, and commercial buildings and other structures as assigned.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform structural design, analysis and detailing for various industrial, institutional, and commercial buildings and other structures as assigned
  • Structural design, analysis, calculations, 3D modeling and drafting for various industrial, institutional buildings, and other structures as assigned
  • Assistance in design, field investigations, field engineering, material take-offs, surveys, and studies to complete project goals
  • Assisting in the preparation of project reports and construction documents and reviewing documents prepared by others
  • Overseeing and providing direction on the design and development of structural models and structural drawings and specifications
  • Working alone and as part of a team completing assigned tasks
  • Interact directly with structural steel detailers through the development of the detailed model and drawings

Requirements

  • 2 years of related engineering experience is preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply as well
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, with an emphasis in structures
  • Ability to obtain EIT within 6 months
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, RISA-3D, and MS Office
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidate must be able to travel, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects
  • Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detail-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills
  • Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision
  • A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required
