We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee a group of engineers in the completion of various projects. This includes designing and analyzing different structures while collaborating closely with clients and team members to achieve outstanding results. This position may also require fieldwork and travel to various site locations as necessary. This is a full-time position. Generally, it will be a 40-hour, 5-day work week, however, work outside of these times may be necessary on a project-specific basis.
Job Responsibility:
Lead project efforts such as strategic planning, budget, legal/public relations, project staffing, environmental compliance, schedule attainment, risk, and change management
Plan and design a broad range of engineering projects in collaboration with internal/or external stakeholders
Prepares structural engineering calculations and finite element modeling under the supervision of a Senior Engineer
Plans, organizes, and coordinates projects along with training, mentoring, and advising lower-level engineers
Reports regularly on progress, cost, and schedule, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, design questions, potential impacts, and all other matters requiring office support
Prepare monthly expenditures and ensure results meet technical quality, reliability, timely schedule, and cost expectations
Coordinate with clients to accommodate their expectations and meet their needs
Assist where needed in project proposals to provide cost estimates, schedules, and the scope of work
Market as an ambassador for the company, prepare presentations, and status reports to keep clients informed
Ensuring building plans, prototypes, and structures are built to code, and in line with proposed timelines
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Idaho PE License required or ability to obtain in 6 months
Minimum 6 years’ experience in the civil engineering field
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software (AutoCAD or MicroStation/Open Roads)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in mentoring and training EI’s
Nice to have:
Experience with project management and client interaction is a plus
Construction experience is a plus
