Job Description

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Structural Engineer in West Milton, NY. An active DOE L clearance or DOD equivalent is required to be considered for this position. Job Responsibility

  • Work within a project team environment to support construction projects at the Knolls Site
  • Develop and define project scope with sponsors
  • Work with a project team to develop specifications, cost estimates, drawing reviews, and provide engineering support during construction phase for buildings and utility projects
  • Oversee architectural engineering firms in developing concept designs, construction documents, and cost estimates
  • Coordinate and interact with facility staff and contractors

Requirements

  • B.S. Structural Engineering
  • Experience performing structural engineering tasks including the development of contract documents, calculations and cost estimates
  • Working knowledge of building codes and standards
  • Experience in construction administration (submittal review, RFI's, construction inspections, etc.)
  • An active DOE L clearance or DOD equivalent is required to be considered for this position
  • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required

Nice to have

  • EIT certificate and or P.E. License
  • Engineering consulting experience
